For many older adults, the opportunities for an active social life often decline along with their health and energy. As illness or mobility issues limit what they can do, their risk of isolation increases. Connecting with others who love us and share similar interests is important at any age, but for older persons , whose lifestyles may lessen their social opportunities, these connections are crucial to healthy physical and emotional well-being
At Newpark Care Centre we offer a wide range of activities. Our activities aim to create a stimulating environment whilst supporting life skills and enhancing feelings of self worth and purpose. Programmes are dependent on each resident interests and personal choice. We have trained activity co-coordinators to facilitate these activities programmes 7 days weekly. They will ask residents to complete a questionnaire to ascertain preferences.
